Peace

Peace is no longer a term just for hippies! It’s something that we are all striving to achieve in all areas of our life. On one side of the world we are suffering from starvation, on the other side from obesity. Doesn’t this seem ironic? How and when did we get so out of balance? We have used up so many of our precious resources and are finally paying for in it in many ways. The universal law of karma simply states ” What you sow you reap. As we do good things to ourselves and to others, good things will come back to us. As we behave badly towards ourselves and others, negative events will come back to us. What goes around comes around.”
So, back to kindergarten we go! Treat others the way you want to be treated. This is such a simple concept that I invite you to think about. The thoughts and actions that you take on a daily basis are stored in your subconscious mind only to be attracted back to you. Your subconscious mind is responsible for 95% of your life, so be careful what you do when no one is looking!
Back to the law of Karma… one of the largest if not the largest mistakes we have made is the killing of animals for food. Animals are just like us, only in different shapes. If you have a pet cat or dog, you know that animals having personality and feelings, so what makes a chicken, pig or cow any different? What caused us to start eating so much meat? Well, to start off, many people agree that they would not eat meat if they themselves had to kill the animal. Factory farming has allowed us to eat meat without even thinking about it. I myself ate meat for 20 years of my life, so I know that there can be no blame! It’s just a matter of becoming aware of the mistake that we’ve made so that we can change it. Just because we do not have to personally kill the animal to eat it does not mean that the animal didn’t have to suffer for us to live. And thus the law of karma has shown us by the world becoming so out of balance.
We kill animals only to poison ourselves. Ever read The China study or Diet for a New America?
I have personally worked with some of the worlds leading nutritionists, climatologists, animal rights activists and spiritual teachers and all four of these groups agree with one thing. The world should be on a plant based diet. A plant based (vegan) diet is the number one solution to global warming, the global food crisis, the global water crisis, the global health crisis (cancer, diabetes, heart disease and many others) and is the fastest way to bring the world back into balance. The answer to so many of our problems is right at the end of our forks. In economic terms it’s a matter of supply and demand. If we demand less meat, less animals have to be killed!
There is an abundance of information out there and the world is quickly becoming aware of how the livestock industry is so destructive. Please take the time to look up some of the statistics for yourself.
Don’t freak out. Just go vegan and know that you’re doing your part. Much love to you!
